Invitation to Ministry - Pastoral

PARISH PASTORAL COUNCIL

Supporting and coordinating all areas of parish life. Nominations and elections in even years. Monthly meeting.

Chair Deb Waldron. Members: Rev Dr Tom Elich, Sister Mary Randle, Francis Price, Andrew Oberthur, Richard Grajczonek, Emma Price, Emyr Fresneda, and Richard Carlile.

DEANERY PASTORAL COUNCIL

Representing the parish on the deanery council and facilitating parish participation in deanery projects.

VISITATION / COMMUNION OF THE SICK

Visiting the sick and the elderly in their homes or in the nursing home, usually bringing them weekly communion.

TRANSPORT GROUP

Providing transport to Sunday Mass for those in need of assistance. Transport on other occasions may also be offered.

PARISH HOSPITALITY

Organising morning tea after the 8 am Mass (twice a month) and occasional parish social events.

WELCOME TO THE PARISH

Making contact with new parishioners and introducing them to the parish and its activities.

ST VINCENT DE PAUL

Men and women offering practical help (food, furniture, etc) to those in need. Supported by a meeting each Thursday evening.

CASSEROLE BANK

Making and freezing a casserole from time to time for those in need

MINISTRY TO THE BEREAVED AND AGED

Providing and serving refreshments for the bereaved after funerals and to the aged after the anointing of the sick.

PLAY GROUP

Young children bringing their parents together each Thursday morning for activities and social contact.

YOUTH MINISTRY

Possibilities and opportunities for young people to participate in the life of the parish.
